Middle school students in Des Moines Public Schools are busy getting creative. Students involved in the Workplace Mentoring Program at Hiatt Middle School, Hoyt Middle School, Harding Middle School, and Merrill Middle School are working on their “Shark Tank” Pitch Project. This is a two-part project with one part focusing on product development and the other half focusing on the pitch of the product. Through the “Shark Tank” Project Pitch, Littles practice teamwork and innovation while exploring business concepts. We currently have Workplace Mentoring sites at the following businesses: Principal, Wells Fargo, NCMIC, and Marsh/Mercer.
