Opportunities for Post-Secondary Success (OPS)

Opportunities for Post-Secondary Success (OPS) is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa's post-secondary success initiative for Community-Based Littles in 8th-12th grades. This program consists of college preparation, career preparation, skill development, and relationship development through fun activities with their Bigs.

Features of this initiative include mock interviews, job shadowing opportunities, assessing college readiness, developing graduation plans, and college visits. There are also workshops around financial literacy, legal education, setting goals, networking, communication, and understanding how you learn- all designed to help youth be prepared for life and to achieve success after high school.

This initiative was made possible by funding through Prairie Meadows.
