In the News

Nicky Carpenter (Workplace Mentoring mentor and NCMIC Group, Inc. employee) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa (BBBSCI) have submitted an entry to the “A Community Thrives” contest sponsored by USA Today. The 10 entries in each category with the most votes will move on to be judged and possibly awarded a $100,000 or $50,000 grant!

We are seeking funds to support and expand our Workplace Mentoring program, which is designed to help students stay in school, graduate high school on time and participate in career exploration activities that will inspire them to work towards a successful future.

In order to have a shot at this, we need you to not only vote often, but also promote our Community Thrives entry. This contest is about who has the most supporters – show your support of BBBSCI to the nation by voting for Workplace Mentoring. We believe in this project and the far-reaching impact it could have in our community – we need funding and support to make that impact a reality.

Voting opens Wednesday, April 12. Vote up to once per day between April 12 & May 12. Thank you for your support. Please vote and also help spread the word by sharing this video via email, social media, and word of mouth to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and community members.

Thank you for your support!
