The Big Shots Golf event on August 31, 2017 at Echo Valley Country Club was a great success!
An event like this cannot be realized without the support of many key partners. Thank you to over 35 corporate sponsors, 162 golfers and 30 volunteers for making the Big Shots Golf event an amazing success! The money raised from this event helps provide mentors to children in our community who are in need of a supportive role model. View an album of photos from the event here.
Our presenting sponsor for this year’s event was long-time supporter, Blount Restaurant Management. Registration and lunch, provided by Wobbly Boots, began at 11am, followed by a noon shotgun start. An online silent auction also took place during the event, and auction packages included Big Ten Iowa Basketball tickets and Chris Stapleton concert tickets.
New to this year’s event was the wine cork pull. For a $20 donation, participants chose a numbered cork from either the red selection or white selection that corresponded with a specific bottle of wine.
The event finished with light hors d’oeuvres and a live auction.
