Mission: To create an engaged and dedicated group of young professionals who support, fundraise and advocate for the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa.
About: The Big Impact Board was formed to get young professionals in the Des Moines metro area involved in expanding awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, as well as increase participation in mentorship and sponsored events.

Membership will be capped at 20 members. Membership requires a letter of interest, resume, and approval of current Board members and commitment to the following expectations:
- Members must have past experience as a mentor in the program or must be in process of becoming a mentor
- Attend at least 10 monthly meetings plus annual strategic planning retreat. Must inform the Chair of any absences.
- Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa in at least one recruitment or fundraising activity per year (Big Shots Golf, Bowl For Kids’ Sake, Match Makers Breakfast, BBBSCI Big Impact Board events). Support may be in many forms including financial, volunteer hours, media contacts, event attendance, etc.
- Learn about and understand the mission of BBBSCI and support our work. If you are approached by someone inquiring about BBBSCI, we ask that you would be able to articulate the purpose and value of our program.
