Big Olga and Little Chloe have been matched since October 2022, and their journey together is a powerful example of what consistent mentorship can achieve. What began in our Workplace Mentoring Program has since grown into participation in Site-Based Plus and I Am Enough, showing Olga’s deep commitment to supporting Chloe wherever she needs it most.
From the start, Olga and Chloe formed a strong connection rooted in honesty and open communication. They are not afraid to have difficult conversations, and that openness has built an incredible level of trust. Because of this relationship, Chloe has grown into a more confident, happier young person who is making new friends and learning to believe in herself.
Olga has played a key role in helping Chloe navigate the challenges of middle school, both socially and academically. When Chloe struggled with attention-seeking behaviors or telling stories that weren’t true, Olga offered gentle guidance and consistency. Today, Chloe is more honest, more self-aware, and more confident in who she is.
Although Chloe is very bright, academic challenges can still feel overwhelming. With Olga’s encouragement, she has gained the confidence to read aloud, speak in front of groups, and be vulnerable. When Chloe experienced bullying or felt like she didn’t fit in, Olga was there as a trusted listener and a guide, helping Chloe understand her resources and empowering her to stand up for herself.
Through it all, Chloe has learned a powerful truth: she is enough.
The impact of this match goes both ways. Olga shares that being matched with Chloe has strengthened her own communication, teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and time management skills. Most importantly, she feels recharged, valued, and deeply grateful for the relationship they’ve built together.
Three years in, their bond is stronger than ever, and their story is a reminder that mentorship doesn’t just change one life. It transforms two.
